WINDOW TINTING

Tinting of car windows

Tinted film installed on car windows is a worthwhile investment that will benefit the car owner immediately after installation. The tint film blocks harmful UV radiation, reflects back heat radiation and makes the windows more durable. Window tinting improves the appearance of the vehicle, giving it a look equivalent to the factory tinting. At the same time, it adds a sun protection effect, reflecting back up to 70% of the heat radiation and protecting the occupants from the heat. In addition, tinted windows give passengers more privacy, hiding property from the eyes of others, and make the vehicle safer. In addition, tinted car windows filter out most of the UV radiation, thus protecting the interior of the cabin from fading. The color of car windows is stable – tinted windows do not fade even after several years.

Why should I tint my car windows?

Ensuring privacy

By tinting the windows, it is possible to make the car windows exactly as dark as you want within the limits prescribed by law. You can choose between different gloss levels, color tones and the percentage of window transparency.

Tinted windows offer privacy to car passengers – they do not allow passers-by to peek into the car through the windows, so tinted glass is especially useful when driving in the city. In addition, tinted windows hide the property left in the car from the eyes of strangers – something that is often thought of when driving in the city, stopping there or in parks. Leather gloves left in the back seat may seem like an insignificant detail, but in reality they can catch unwanted glances. Not to mention even more valuable items such as a laptop (bag), a handbag or a high-quality child safety seat. When the vehicle windows are tinted, it is peaceful to know that even if something is forgotten in the car, no one can see it.

It is also very important for corporate cars that the windows are dark enough. Corporate cars often carry valuable tools and a variety of goods that may interest thieves. Tinted windows are also the best solution for privacy and security.

Sun protection

Tinted films help protect the vehicle’s interior from fading and other sun damage, stabilize the vehicle’s internal temperature and improve visibility. Different shades of film can meet different needs. Most tinted films repel 99% of UV radiation, which is the biggest cause of fading and is not good for the skin of the driver. In addition, the film can repel infrared radiation and visible light, which are the main air temperature boosters in the cabin.

On a sunny day, the temperature in the car interior can rise to 80 degrees in a short time, which causes discomfort and is not good for the technology left in the car. Laminated glass helps to prevent the cabin from overheating, while also saving fuel, engine and cooling system.
The view through the laminated glass is clearer and sharper, and the light coming through the tinted glass is more eye-friendly. This makes the cabin as comfortable as possible for all passengers, including pets, and provides better visibility for the driver. For example, small children and people with sensitive eyes cannot tolerate strong sunlight on long journeys – a problem that can be completely solved with tinted films.

Tint films can also be installed on various watercraft (boats, yachts) to enjoy a comfortable and pleasant ride even on the hottest and brightest summer days.

Security

Film windows can make car windows much safer. The film window is much more resistant to breakage, whether it is vandalism, attempted theft or accident. A much stronger force is needed to break the filmed window, and the chance that the window will not break is higher. However, even if the window breaks, the film still holds the glass fragments together and the window in the frame.

For the most part, when a glass is broken, it is the biggest cause of injury to those in the cabin. Volatile or imperceptible fragments of glass can cause significant damage to the car interior as well as to people and pets in the car. Also, when unbreaked glass shatters, shattered glass fragments in the cabin can end up in places where they are difficult to retrieve later, where they can start to interfere and make annoying noises.

It is also important to make heavy-duty glass cabins safer with films. The cab windows are larger than the windows of conventional vehicles to give the driver better visibility. Large windows improve safety by giving the driver of heavy equipment better visibility, but there is some increased risk to the driver himself. However, this can be neutralized by window film.

Filming the window helps to avoid unfortunate and undesirable consequences in case the window breaks. This increases the confidence of the vehicle owner and passengers.

Changing the look

Tinted windows significantly improve the car’s appearance. The majority of Estonian people who decide in favor of tinted glass have their car windows filmed to improve their appearance. We have a selection of films with different shades, gloss levels and darkness, where everyone can find something to suit their taste.

Tone selection

Which shade of film is best for your vehicle depends on the purpose of tinting the windows. If the main goal is to increase privacy and address the issue of security, we recommend choosing the darkest film. If the decision to film the windows was made in order to improve the appearance of the car, it is worth asking our experts for help, because the most suitable window tone depends on the color and model of the car.

When choosing a film tone, it is also worth considering that the transparency of the windshield must be at least 75% and on the side windows of the front doors 70%. However, vehicle owners have been given a free hand to modify the transparency of other windows and there are no specific transparency requirements.
Window tinting improves the quality of the driving experience for both the driver and passengers so much that it is worth every penny!
